Rupee Opens Higher At 75.48 Per US Dollar

Rupee in Friday's session (May 15, 2020) opened with minor gains of 8 paise at 75.48 versus its previous day close of 75.56 per US dollar. Last the rupee traded weak at 75.51 against the greenback.

In the bond market, the yield on 10-year bond opened at 5.77% versus its previous day's closing of 5.78%. The centre will sell debt totaling to Rs. 30,000 crore today.

Also, trade deficit data will be released later today.

Meanwhile, as the Dalal Street was not enthused by the second tranche of the economic package, headline indices were trading weak, with Nifty below 9100 points.
