Rupee Opens Lower Against US Dollar, Sensex Declines By 152 Points In Early Trade
The Rupee witnessed a decline on Tuesday in early trade against US Dollar. Rupee opened at 82.31 with a gain of 0.02% from the previous day's close. It fell by 0.08% to 82.40 in the early morning trade. The rupee was trading at 82.40 at 9:25 a.m.

Earlier on Monday, the Rupee pared most of its initial losses and settled 4 paise lower at a fresh lifetime low of 82.34 (provisional) against the US dollar weighed down by as risk-averse sentiment among investors, according to PTI report.
Additionally, a negative trend in domestic equities and a firm greenback overseas sapped investor appetite, forex traders said.
Meanwhile, BSE Sensex fell by 152 points at 57,838 and NSE Nifty shed 55 points at 17185 in morning trade.
