Rupee Opens Lower at 76.33 Per US Dollar

Rupee in April 13, 2020 trade opened lower at 76.33, down 5 paise versus previus close of 76.28 per US dollar.

In the bond market, the yield on 10-year benchmark bond remained steady at 6.48% versus previous close of 6.49%

Oil on Monday after the historic deal has been reached with Mexico also now agreeing to a production cut, there has been a hike of 4% in oil price.

Gold on the MCX also extended gains with 1.05% or Rs. 476 to Rs. 45770, experts are suggesting increasing allocation to gold as gains will increase to Rs. 50,000 per 10 gm given the crisis in the global markets amid the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Indian markets are trading with losses of over 2%, with Nifty below 9000 points.
