Rupee in trade on Wednesday (May 6, 2020) opened weak at 75.73 buoyed by sentiment in the equity. On Tuesday, the home currency ended at 75.63 per US dollar.
In the bond market, the yield on 10-year benchmark bond stood 6.03% at versus its previous closing of 6.07%.
Rupee Opens Lower On Weakness In Equities
Oil after 5 straight days of gains has retreated lower as concerns over glut in supply have again surfaced. US crude futures were dragged 6 cents to $24.5 a barrel while Brent crude was flat at $30.97.
Meanwhile, headline Indian indices tracking weakness in the Asian and decline in US stock futures has been trading with losses, with Nifty below.
