Rupee Opens Stronger At 75.49 Per US Dollar
Rupee in Thursday's trade (July 2, 2020) opened with gains at 75.49 versus previous close of 75.58 per US dollar.
The yield on 10-year government bond stood at 5.828%. Today, the RBI will conduct open market operation (OMO) after a gap of two months, in which the apex bank will carry out purchase and sale of debt.
Oil in today's session dipped in price on concerns over demand outlook for the commodity amid the pandemic as California re-imposed lockdown measures. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures fell 13 cents, or 0.3%, to $39.69 a barrel at 0024 GMT. Brent crude futures fell 15 cents, or 0.3%, to $41.89 a barrel, after rising 1.8% in the previous session.
Meanwhile Indian equities trade higher tracking positive global markets, with Nifty above 10500 points.
