Rupee Opens Unchanged At 74.77 Per US Dollar; July CPI Inflation Eyed

Rupee in Wednesday's trade (August 12, 2020) opened unchanged at 74.77 versus previous day's close of 74.78 per US dollar.

 

The yield on 10-year benchmark bond stood at 5.865% while traders in the market will watch out for sale of T-bills valued at Rs. 35000 crore.

Oil prices in today's session continue to hold on to loss, while still maintaining close to a 5-month high as reports suggesting decline in the US crude inventory was eclipsed by the coronavirus as well as no progress in US stimulus talks. Oil futures in the US inched closer to $42 per barrel, after shedding 0.8% in the previous day.

Meanwhile, Indian indices tracking weak global markets traded lower, with Nifty below 11300 points.
