Rupee Starts Flat Against US Dollar, Sensex Drops Over 160 Points In Early Trade

Rupee opened flat against US Dollar on October 13, 2022. Rupee opened the day's trade at 82.30 and gained nearly 0.03% against the greenback to 82.28. Rupee managed to hold its ground against strengthened US Dollar amid Reserve Bank of India's intervention to check the sharp dip.

Earlier on Wednesday, rupee declined by 12 paise to close at 82.33 against the US dollar due to sustained foreign fund outflows and a stronger dollar in the overseas markets.

Meanwhile, BSE Sensex fell 169 points at 57454 and NSE Nifty declined 43 points at 17079 in early trade.
