Rupee Opens Higher At 74.70 Per US Dollar
Rupee in Monday's trade (July 27, 2020) opens at 74.70 versus previous day's close of 74.82 per US dollar. This is as the dollar index has been trending lower for some time and is now at a 2-year low.
Yield on 10-year benchmark government bonds stood at 5.825%.
Oil in today's trade fell after sentiments regarding worsening situation between the US and China weighed coupled with fears of more supply against a weakening dollar.
Also, India's oil imports for the month of June has been lowest in 9 years.
Meanwhile, tracking mixed cues, Indian benchmark indices opened on a flat note, with Nifty at 11168 points
