Rupee Opens Weak At 75.23 Per Dollar

Rupee in Friday's trade (July 17, 2020) opens lower at 75.23 in comparison to previous close of 75.19 per levels. The yield on 10-year government bond stood at 5.8130%.

It is worth mentioning that US is considering another stimulus to combat the fall out due to the coronavirus and this will impart strength to the greenback.

Oil prices in today's trade remained steady as concerns over demand outlook for the commodity loom amid rising corona cases. US WTI futures rose 1 cent to $40.76 per barrel. While Brent crude futures were at $43.37 per barrel.

As we write corona cases in India have topped 10 lakh where as the toll has hit 25000 number due to coronavirus.

Meanwhile Indian indices even on mixed Asian cues are trading up with Nifty hovering around 10800 points.
