Rushil Decor Limited's shares saw a rise of 7.33% in afternoon trade on Thursday after opening on the BSE at Rs 302.50 a share and rising to an intraday high of Rs 324.70. The rise in stock value followed the company's announcement of a strategic expansion into South America. Rushil Decor is on track to break into one of the largest MDF marketplaces in the world, with shipments already reaching more than 50 nations. The strategic growth of Rushil Decor is part of the company's broad objective to reach Rs 2500 crore in revenue annually by 2029.
"On the eve of Interzum Bogota, Mr. Rushil Thakkar, Executive Director at Rushil Decor expressed hope and confidence about growing with the multibillion-dollar global wood panel market. Interzum Bogota is an international industry fair for furniture and wood technology, being organised between May 14 and 17, in Colombia, South America," said Rushil Decor in a regulatory filing.

Rushil Decor, a pioneer in MDF production in India, is ideally positioned to satisfy the strong demand in South America. In comparison to the same period last year, the corporation solely reported a 9% rise in the January to March 2024 quarter. The company's substantial global reach was highlighted in the fourth quarter of FY24 when export sales accounted for 28% of total revenue. The global market for MDF was estimated by Precision Reports to be worth USD 24,942.77 million in 2024 and is expected to grow to USD 29,965.13 million by 2027.
By 2030, the laminate industry is expected to rise to an astounding USD 11.98 billion worldwide, offering Rushil Decor a significant chance for expansion. The firm is putting itself in a position to take advantage of this profitable market with its next greenfield project, which is being carefully planned to meet the growing demand for laminates from exporters.
"Looking at the vibrant export opportunity that MDF presents, we will also export MDF products to the South American regions creating potent synergies across our product lines. By leveraging its expertise in both laminates and MDF, the company is well equipped to benefit from the increasing demand in this region, effectively increasing our revenue potential and further solidifying our global footprint," said Rushil Decor in a statement.
Mr. Rushil Thakkar, Executive Director of Rushil Decor Limited, commented, "Expanding into South America is a significant milestone for Rushil Decor. This move underscores our dedication to providing sustainable and high-quality products to new regions, meeting the evolving needs of South American customers. The 2024 edition of Interzum Bogota focuses on the circular economy, sustainability, innovation and technology and we at Rushil Decor strongly support all these values every day."
