State-owned railway infrastructure major Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced key dates for its proposed final dividend for the financial year, giving investors clarity on eligibility ahead of the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The company will seek shareholder approval for the declaration of a final dividend at its forthcoming AGM. While the dividend amount will become payable only after it receives shareholders' approval, RVNL has already fixed Tuesday, August 18, 2026, as the record date to determine eligible shareholders.

Only those investors whose names appear in the company's register of members or in the records of depositories as on the record date will be eligible to receive the dividend if it is approved by shareholders.
RVNL Dividend Update: Transfer Books to Remain Closed From August 19 to August 25
RVNL has also informed investors that its register of members and share transfer books will remain closed from Wednesday, August 19, 2026, to Tuesday, August 25, 2026 (both days inclusive).
During this book closure period, no transfer of shares will be processed. The exercise enables the company to finalise the list of shareholders eligible to participate in the AGM and receive the proposed dividend.
Book closure is a routine corporate action undertaken before dividend payments and annual general meetings to ensure shareholder records remain accurate.
RVNL Final Dividend to Be Considered at AGM
The proposed final dividend is yet to receive shareholder approval and will be considered during RVNL's upcoming Annual General Meeting. If approved, the dividend will be paid to eligible shareholders in accordance with the timelines prescribed under the Companies Act and SEBI regulations.
Companies typically announce record dates in advance to provide sufficient time for investors to plan their holdings before the dividend entitlement date.
What RVNL Shareholders Should Do
Investors planning to receive RVNL's proposed final dividend should ensure their shares are credited to their demat accounts before the record date and continue to hold them as required under the applicable settlement mechanism.
Shareholders should also keep their bank account details, PAN and other KYC information updated with their depository participant to avoid delays in receiving dividend payments if the proposal is approved.
The final dividend will become payable only after shareholders pass the necessary resolution at the company's Annual General Meeting. Until then, August 18, 2026, remains the key date investors should watch for determining dividend eligibility.
