Sanam Teri Kasam Re-Release: The re-release of the romantic cult movie, Sanam Teri Kasam is not only the highest Indian grosser in the re-release segment but also the best box office collection to ever starred by Harshvardhan Rane. The 41-year-old actor has been in the film industry for nearly two decades and has a couple of movies in his discography. However, the 2025 comeback of Sanam Teri Kasam is by far his best box office, with a collection of around Rs 40 crore to Rs 50 crore.
Sanam Teri Kasam Re-Release Box Office Collection:
The 2025 re-release topped the charts of highest-grossing films in re-released section, to the tune of Rs 41 crore worldwide gross, as per Wikipedia.
However, Sacnilk data revealed that Sanam Teri Kasam's re-release had around Rs 50 crore of box office collection worldwide on a gross basis.
Either way, Sanam Teri Kasam's re-release is the highest grosser in India, followed by Tumbbad whose re-release recorded a gross of Rs 38 crore. At the third rank is Ghilli's re-release which posted about Rs 26 crore to Rs 32.50 crore collection, followed by Ranbir Kapoor's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani at the fourth rank bagged a collection of Rs 26-27 crore during its re-release. The fifth rank is held by classic-decades-old Sholay whose re-release bagged about Rs 13 crore.
Sanam Teri Kasam's re-release is a game changer and opened the floodgates of a host of upcoming re-releases like Andaz Apna Apna, Darr, Hunterrr, and Namaste London. Whether these movies outrun Sanam Teri Kasam will be keenly watched.
Harshvardhan Rane Box Office Collection:
Before debuting in Bollywood, Rane made appearances in successful Telugu films such as Naa Ishtam and Avunu who were released in 2012, followed by Prema Ishq Kaadhal in 2013, Anaamika and Maaya that were released in 2014. He made his debut in Bollywood with Sanam Teri Kasam in 2016.
However, the 2016 era of Sanam Teri Kasam was a flop with box office collection of a little over Rs 9 crore. Harshvardhan even did movies like Dange and Savi which were released in 2024, but flopped on the theatres as well, with collection of nearly Rs 0.15 crore and Rs 8 crore, as per Bollywood Hungama data.
Hence, it would be the 2025 re-release that has smashed a hit for Harshvardhan Rane.
In 2025, Harshvardhan is coming up with a new love story. Rane and Sonam Bajwa posted on their Instagram about this new movie. It is called 'Deewaniyat'. The movie is expected to be an intense saga of passion and heartbreak. The movie is directed by Milap Zaveri, while the producers are Amulv Mohan and Vikir Motion Pictures. The writers are Milap and Mushtaq Shiekh.
The main leaders of Deewaniyat are Sonam Bajwa and Sanam Teri Kasam's Harshvardhan Rane.
In Sanam Teri Kasam, Rane portrayed a lawyer and ex-convict opposite Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane. A Hindustan Times critic noted: "Rane as Inder, delivers a controlled and poised performance. He lights up the screen with his strong and well-chiselled physique and emotes superbly through his eyes."
