Sanam Teri Kasam Re-Release Box Office Collection: After taking Indian theatres by the storm after 9 years, the Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane starrer classic romantic cult reportedly is going to re-release in the UK cinemas. In India, after popularity on OTT platforms, Sanam Teri Kasam made a re-debut and emerged as a blockbuster by crossing over Rs 50 crore mark, becoming the first re-release to ever do so. As per report of Zee News, the Sanam Teri Kasam saga is now stretched to UK cinemas on March 14. Reports have stated that the movie witnessed a full-house screenings in this country, indicating a strong overseas collection.

The film's success story has now extended to the UK, where theatres have reported packed screenings. Early figures suggest that Sanam Teri Kasam is performing exceptionally well, indicating a strong overseas market for the film, as per The Express Tribune.

The movie is reportedly being screened in 21 theatres in the United Kingdom, from London to Manchester. The directors of the movie, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru have expressed their enthusiasm over the extraordinary success of Sanam Teri Kasam in its re-release era.

Could Sanam Teri Kasam Create Rs 50 Crore Mark in UK like India?

Sanam Teri Kasam emerged as the highest grosser in the re-release segment, also the first re-release to cross Rs 50 crore mark. After being a flop for nine years, the 2016 film's worldwide collection is now near Rs 55 crore.

Apart from this, the movie's success has turned to be a boon for its leading casts Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane. As per reports, Rane could be part of Saif Ali Khan's Race 4 as a villain. However, that speculation was quickly shunned by the Race 4 producer Ramesh Taurani. While Race 4 rumours were denied, Rane is confirmed to be part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2.

The movie has outrun Tumbbad's box office collection of Rs 38 crore, pushing the folk-horror movie to the second rank. Ghilli is third, Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani is in fourth rank and Sholay is the fifth highest-grosser.

Ghilli's re-release bagged a box office collection of up to Rs 32.50 crore, while Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani's box collection was up to Rs 26.75 crore. Sholay's re-release bagged a collection of Rs 13 crore.

Sanam Teri Kasam tells the story of a tough ex-convict Inder and a traditional librarian Saru. Inder and Saru fall in love and get married but a tragedy changes their lives forever. The cinematography was done by Chirantan Das, the music was given by Himesh Reshammiya, and the lyrics were written by Reshammiya, Sameer Anjaan, Shabbir Ahmed and Subrat Sinha. Sanam Teri Kasam was released worldwide on 5 February 2016 under Eros International. It received mixed reviews from critics and was a commercial failure in its first release. It was re-released on 7 February 2025, and emerged as a commercial success, as per Wikipedia.
