Sanam Teri Kasam Magic: Harshvardhan Rane's New Romantic Movie To Release In 2025; Check Details

After the impressive success of Sanam Teri Kasam's re-release, the hero of this romantic cult movie, Harshvardhan Rane, is going to star in a new love story that is going to be released later in 2025. Rane's Sanam Teri Kasam has received a great response during its re-release era, breaking many milestones. Fans await his upcoming movies.

Rane and Sonam Bajwa posted on their Instagram about this new movie. It is called 'Deewaniyat'. The movie is expected to be an intense saga of passion and heartbreak. The movie is directed by Milap Zaveri, while the producers are Amulv Mohan and Vikir Motion Pictures. The writers are Milap and Mushtaq Shiekh.

The main leaders of Deewaniyat are Sonam Bajwa and Sanam Teri Kasam's Harshvardhan Rane.

Bajwa is one of the highest-paid actors in the Punjabi film industry. She made her acting debut in 2013 and bagged awards like two PTC Punjabi Film Awards coupled with nominations for four Filmfare Awards Punjabi.

She has been a leading actress in hit movies like Punjab 1984 (2014), Sardaar Ji 2 (2016), Nikka Zaildar (2016), Manje Bistre (2017), Nikka Zaildar 2 (2017), Carry on Jatta 2 (2018), Guddiyan Patole (2019), Ardab Mutiyaran (2019) and Honsla Rakh (2021). In 2016, she made her debut in the Telugu film industry with Aatadukundam Raa (2016).

The Rane-Bajwa pair's Deewaniyat is expected to be released in 2025, however, the date is not specified. Apart from, Rane is already confirmed to be part of the sequel of Sanam Teri Kasam which is anticipated to be released in 2026.

Meanwhile, Rane started his acting career as a TV actor in 2007 but soon was among the casts of successful Telugu films like Naa Ishtam, and Avunu both released in 2012, Prema Ishq Kaadhal (2013), Anaamika and Maaya (both 2014). He debuted in Bollywood in 2016 with Sanam Teri Kasam.

For instance, as per Sacnilk data, the movie Mere Husband Ki Biwi, a romantic comedy, has a worldwide gross collection of Rs 12.55 crore. While movies like Bromance earned about Rs 14.74 crore worldwide, Laila minted nearly Rs 5 crore, and Loveyapa earned nearly Rs 10 crore worldwide.

Sanam Teri Kasam's re-release worldwide gross collection was more than Rs 50 crore. This makes Sanam Teri Kasam, the highest grossing re-release in Indian film industry, while also the first re-release to hit Rs 50 crore mark.

Sanam Teri Kasam tells the story of a tough ex-convict Inder and a traditional librarian Saru. Inder and Saru fall in love and get married but a tragedy changes their lives forever. The cinematography was done by Chirantan Das, the music was given by Himesh Reshammiya, and the lyrics were written by Reshammiya, Sameer Anjaan, Shabbir Ahmed and Subrat Sinha. Sanam Teri Kasam was released worldwide on 5 February 2016 under Eros International. It received mixed reviews from critics and was a commercial failure in its first release.
