SBI Customer Alert! Online Banking Services To Remain Shut Tomorrow
Every bank does schedule maintenance work on a regular or monthly basis in order to improve digital banking services. The banks engage professionals to perform the maintenance work, and before doing so, they publish a notice on their social media channels about the scheduled shutdowns and the resulting suspension of online banking services. The State Bank of India (SBI) will do the same operation tomorrow.
Customers of India's largest lender will be unable to utilise internet banking services tomorrow, December 11th, 2021, for a specified duration. Due to scheduled maintenance work, customers of SBI online banking services will be unable to use services such as Internet Banking, YONO, YONO Lite, YONO Business and UPI for a duration of 300 minutes. SBI has announced via its official Twitter account that "We request our esteemed customers to bear with us as we strive to provide a better banking experience. We will be undertaking technology upgrade in early morning hours on 11th Dec 2021 from 23.30 hrs to 04.30 hrs (300 minutes). During this period, INB (Internet Banking/ YONO / YONO Lite / YONO Business / UPI will be unavailable. We regret the inconvenience caused and request you to bear with us."

According to the Q2FY22 results, SBI has booked its highest quarterly Net Profit of Rs. 7,627 crores in Q2FY22. This represents an increase of 66.73% YoY. The bank's Operating Profit (O.P) increased by 9.84% YoY to Rs. 18,079 crores in Q2FY22 from Rs.16,460 crores in Q2FY21, and Net Interest Income for Q2FY22 increased by 10.65% YoY according to a press statement of the bank.
On the other hand, SBI has published another important notice for its customers on SBI YONO portal. The bank has said on "https://sbiyono.sbi/index.html" that "This SBI YONO web portal is discontinued w.e.f 1st December 2021. You can continue enjoying our services on YONO Mobile App."
