Amid the pandemic when people have lost jobs and there is grim outlook on every front, to be on a guarded side here is an alert by different banks in the country to remain alarmed of the different ways in which fraudsters are robbing people of their hard-earned money.

SBI- Be cautious of the QR code scams:
The country's leading state-run lender SBI has suggested customers not to scan the QR code if they are receiving money. It is because upon scanning the QR code, they do not get the money. Here the bank says, you need to scan the QR code only when you need to pay someone. For the whole thing, the bank has also come up with a video:
Also on its official SBI twitter handle the bank asked its customers to be alert of fraudsters and not to share any sensitive details online or download any app from an unknown source.

ICICI Bank: Be cautious and do not share your bank details with anybody.
Private sector bank has warned its customers against sharing their confidential banking or any other financial information with anyone. It has made a reminder stating that bank reps do not ask for details of their account by calling or sending SMS.
