SBI Q4 Result Preview: State Bank of India May See Improvement in Asset Quality, 9% NII Growth | Check Target
SBI Q4 Result Preview: State Bank of India may see a marginal improvement in net interest margin, asset quality growth, and a sequential increase in slippages. The state-run lender is set to announce its fourth-quarter results for the financial year 2025-26 on Friday, May 8.
State Bank of India share price ended 0.35% lower at Rs 1091.8 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 10,07,798.83 crore. The stock had touched an intraday high of Rs 1,108.95 per share and an intraday low of Rs 1,086.25 per share.

SBI Q4 Result Preview
State Bank of India is expected to report 9.1% annual increase in its net interest income (NII) growth and 7.9% jump in profit after tax in Q4FY26, as per the Mirae Asset Sharekhan report. SBI's strong fee income and benign credit costs are also likely to offset treasury pressure and higher opex.
However, Systematix Institutional Equities expects a 7% yoy decline in SBI's Q4FY26 profit, and around 6% decline in its operating profit. "Total opex is expected to be higher sequentially, led by higher employee and other opex," as per Systematix report.
"SBI remains poised for sustainable growth, led by healthy credit expansion and well-managed asset quality. We estimate a 13% earnings CAGR over FY26-28, with RoA/RoE expected at 1.1%/15.9% by FY27. The standalone bank currently trades at 1.1x FY27E ABV," noted Motilal Oswal in its report.
SBI Share Price Recommendation
Motilal Oswal gave a 'Buy' recommendation for SBI stock with a target price of Rs 1,300 per share. Systematix Research gave a 'Buy' rating with a target price of Rs 1,300 per share.
SBI Q4 Result Date, Dividend
SBI's board of directors will meet on Friday, May 8, and announce financial result for Q4FY26. The board will also consider and approve dividend (if any).
"We inform that a meeting of the Central Board of the Bank will be held on Friday, 8 th May 2026 at Mumbai, inter-alia, to consider the financial results of the Bank for the quarter and year ended 31.03.2026," as per the SBI BSE filing released earlier.
