SBI Share Price Today: Shares of State Bank of India will remain in focus during Monday's trade after the PSU lending giant reported stronger-than-expected first quarter result for financial year 2026-27. SBI net profit surged around 10% on an annual basis and its net interest income (NII) increased by 15% on an annual basis.
SBI share price today was trading higher during Monday's pre-market open session. The PSU bank stock was up around 0.36% during the pre-market open session on BSE. It closed nearly 3% higher on Friday at Rs 1,096.05 per share on BSE.

SBI Q1 Result Review
The state-owned lender reported a steady quarter with healthy NII in Q1FY27. State Bank of India's Net Interest Margins (NIMs) expanded following the sharp decline seen in the March quarter of FY26. SBI's profit after tax was supported by strong treasury gains. Whereas treasury and opex remained well under control, Motilal Oswal noted in its report.
State Bank of India's asset quality remained resilient overall although slippages remained marginally higher during the June quarter because of seasonal factors. "SBIN delivered a steady quarter, with healthy NII, while NIMs expanded following the sharp decline seen in 4Q. The bank now matches its domestic NIM guidance of 3% and expects to sustain this level for FY27, supported by improving yields and a healthier credit growth outlook of 14-15%," stated the brokerage in its report.
SBI Share Price Recommendation
Motilal Oswal gave a 'Buy' rating for the stock and revised the target price to Rs 1370 per share in the long-term. "We raise our earnings estimates by ~3% each for FY27/FY28 and estimate FY27E RoA/RoE of 1.05%/15.9%. Reiterate BUY with a revised TP of INR1,370 (1.5x Mar'28E ABV + INR352 for subs)," stated the brokerage firm.
SBI Q1 Result Review
The PSU lender's net profit jumped 10.23% to Rs 21,121 crore in the June quarter. Its net profit after tax stood at Rs 19160.44 crore in the June quarter of previous financial year. The PSU bank had reported a net profit of Rs 19683 crore in the March quarter.SBI's operating profit for June quarter jumped by 9.77% on an annual basis to rs 33,529 crore, whereas its ROA and ROE stood at 1.11% and 17.87% for Q1FY27. Domestic Net Interest Margin (NIM) stood at 3% in Q1FY27 and whole bank NIM improved by 5 bps to 2.86%.
Its net interest income (NII) surged close to 15% on a YoY basis to Rs 46,992 crore in Q1FY27 against the same quarter in previous financial year.
