As part of its constant reminders and alerts, State Bank of India has once again cautioned its customers against attending to or responding to any of the phishing links offering freebies.

On its official twitter handle State Bank of India @ TheOfficialSBI, the banker said "Are you receiving these links in your inbox? Steer Clear! Clicking on these phishing links could lead to loss of your personal and confidential information. Stay alert. Think before you click!"

 

The bank's tweet is in response to a Twitter user complaint who said, "We have got a Whatsapp forward which is attached here. I believe it's fake."

"We advise you to not click on any links or share any banking details. It is also advisable to report this attempt to the respective law enforcement agencies." SBI said. Further the bank clarified that it does not runs or endorses such schemes involving free gift/lottery.

Earlier the bank warned its customers against KYC fraud wherein fraudsters claiming to be bank representatives giving the premise of KYC verification try to extract personal details of bank account holders.
