Sensex Falls Over 500 Points In Morning Trade, Rupee Appreciates
Benchmark BSE Sensex declined 591 points to 60155 and Nifty fell 169 points to 17,931 at 11:53 am on Tuesday. Nifty Bank registered a decline of 528 points to 42,054 and Nifty Midcap tumbled over 180 points to 31,534 in morning trade.

Bharti Airtel, SBI, Eicher Motors, Adani Enterprises witnessed a decline of over 2% in morning trade. Tata Motors shares rose sharply by 6% till 11:55 am. Meanwhile, Apollo Hospital, Power Grid Corp registered a dip of nearly 1%.
It is worth noting that rupee gained for second consecutive day against US Dollar on Tuesday. Rupee opened at 82.29 against the greenback, according to Bloomberg data. Rupee strengthened seven paise against Friday's close of 82.36.
