Sensex Hits 42000 For The First Time; Nifty At Record High
Benchmark indices in Thursday's trade rallied to new highs with Sensex breaching 42000 points for the first time while the Nifty also trades at record highs. The gains come on the back of positive global cues after US and China signed the phase one deal.

On the Sensex, the stocks that gained up to 1.2% include SBI, Kotak Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto etc.
While IndusInd Bank extended its losses for the third straight day.
BSE Midcap and small cap index surged around 0.5% each.
Meanwhile, the rupee was last seen trading tad higher at 70.79 versus its previous close of 70.82
While, the Indian markets continued to remain strong, Asian markets largely traded mixed.
