Sensex, Nifty Gain Over 1% Led By Gains In Nifty PSB Bank, Realty

Benchmark indices ended the day higher led by gains in PSB banks, tech and pharma stocks. Also, Nifty Realty rallied to a great extent by as much as 3 percent. Nifty ended the day higher by 1% at 13099.2, while Sensex ended with gains of 1.15% or 505.72 points at 44655.

Top gainers in today's trade have been GAIL, Sun Pharma, IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, ONGC. While laggards were Nestle, Titan Company, Kotak Mahindra, Bajaj Finance and NTPC.

Shares of Yes Bank were seen locked in 5 percent circuit on high volumes being traded in the stock.

Several scrips from the cement packed touched their respective fresh 52-week highs as cement spread is expected to remain high between October -March.

Auto sales numbers painted a mixed picture with Maruti posting a decline in sales of 2.4%, while other such as Ashok Leyland reported an increase in CV sales.

Meanwhile, European indices have been trading higher and US stock futures are also up indicating positive opening.
