Sensex Zooms Over 1100 Points, Big Cheer To Budget 2023 Announcements

BSE Sensex zoomed 1122 points in afternoon trade at 1:06 pm to 60,672.35 while NSE Nifty jumped 276.3 points to 17,938 thus cheering the announcements made in today's Union Budget 2023 by Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Earlier, in morning trade on the 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex soared 549 points to 60,101.71. The broader Nifty gained 153 points to 17,815 point in morning trade.

Meanwhile, rupee is trading higher in morning trade as it gained strength. Rupee started on a positive note and surged 12 paise to 81.76 against the US dollar in morning trade on Wednesday ahead of the Union Budget presentation.
