Share Market Big Crash: Sensex Falls Over 800 Points, Nifty Below 18,000 Mark
The 30-share BSE Sensex declined 810 points to 60,202 or 1.28% at 3:10 pm on January 25, 2023. Meanwhile, the broader Nifty of NSE fell 230 points or 1.27% to 17,888. The share market witnessed sharp decline today due to selling pressure in financials, oil and IT stocks amid weak global cues, according to reports.

Nifty Bank witnessed a dip of 2.51% or 1073 points to 41,660. Nifty Midcap fell 441 points to 30,709 till 3:20 pm.
Shares of IndusInd Bank, SBI, Adani Ports declined over 4% in trade today. HDFC Bank and Cipla fell over 2% each. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki gained over 1% in trade today.
Shares of Adani Group stock witnessed sharp decline of nearly 6%. After Hindenburg Research claimed that it holds short positions in Adani Group companies via US traded bonds and non-Indian-traded derivative instruments on Wednesday, all Adani Group stocks witnessed a decline. Adani Ports And Special Economic Zone Ltd declined 6.49% till 11:56 am and the last trading price of the stock is Rs 711.45 apiece.
Meanwhile, shares of Adani Total Gas Ltd witnessed a dip of 3.60% in morning trade and the current market price of the stock is Rs 3745.40 apiece.
Adani Green Energy Ltd dived 2.87% in morning trade and the current market price of the stock is Rs 1858.55 apiece. Shares of Adani Transmission Ltd witnessed a fall of 5.33% in morning trade and the stock is currently trading at Rs 2609.30 apiece.
Meanwhile, Adani Group's Chief Financial Officer, Jugeshinder Singh has called the Hindenburg Research report malicious.
