Shiprocket IPO Lists at 35% Premium: Investors Pocket Rs. 5200+ on Day 1; Is It Time to Book Profits?

Logistics aggregator Shiprocket IPO made a banger listing in its stock market debuts on Wednesday, August 19, with its shares listing 35% above the issue price and handing early investors a solid one-day gain.

Shiprocket IPO Listing Stats

The Shiprocket stock listed at Rs.131 on the NSE under the symbol SHIPROCKET, a premium of 35.05% over its issue price of Rs.97.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange, where it trades under scrip code 544871, the shares opened at Rs.129.50, up 33.51%.

Today upside in the stock was particularly expected as the the ipo has been garnering huge demand in the grey market where Shiprocket's unlisted shares were trading at a premium of around Rs.35 which pointed to a listing near Rs.132.

Shiprocket Market Capitalisation

With this listing, the company's market capitalisation rose to Rs.9,422 crore, up Rs.2,364.50 crore, or 33.5%, from the Rs.7,057.50 crore valuation implied at the issue price.

Shiprocket IPO Details

Shiprocket's public issue was worth Rs.1,617 crore, made up of a fresh issue of Rs. 885.50 crore and an offer for sale worth Rs.731.98 crore from existing shareholders.

The price band was set at Rs.92 to Rs.97 per share, with a lot size of 154 shares, and the offer was open for bidding between August 12 and August 14.

The issue was subscribed 99.38 times overall, drawing bids worth more than Rs.91,000 crore across over 47.91 lac applications.
Qualified institutional buyers led the subscription number with their reserved portion subscribed 122.80 times. NII bid 88.99 times their allotted quota, the employee quota was booked 55.51 times, and the retail portion, while the smallest multiple among all categories, was still comfortably subscribed at 46.42 times.

How Much investors made on listing day?

For retail investors who were allotted a single lot of 154 shares, having put in Rs.14,938, was sitting on a profit of more than Rs.5,200 by the time the stock opened for trade.

"Shiprocket made a strong debut broadly in line with grey-market expectations. Over FY24-FY26, Shiprocket recorded a revenue CAGR of 24% and narrowed its adjusted loss from Rs. 351 crore in FY24 to Rs. 76 crore in FY26. Cash flow from operations turned positive at Rs. 52.6 crore as of March 31, 2026. Allottees can look at booking partial profits at current levels while holding the rest for the longer-term platform story, with a stop-loss of Rs.110," said Shivani Nyati, Head of Wealth, Swastika Investmart Ltd.
