Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 2: The Salman Khan-Rashmika Mandanna action thriller movie faced quite a setback ahead of the Eid-Ul Fitr celebration on March 31. Bollywood's Bhai Jaan has celebrated EID with his fans with his new releases, and Sikandar was expected to outshine just like his previous projects. However, despite high expectations, although Sikander saw a decent opening, it could not outrun Vicky Kaushal's Chavva opening day. Not just that, Sikander could not even beat Salman's records of Eid releases such as Tiger 3, Sultan, Bharat, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. One of the biggest setbacks would be reports of the Sikander movie being entirely leaked before its release.
Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 2:
According to Sacnilk data, Sikandar collected Rs 26 crore net of India on its opening day, which is lower than Chavva's opening collection of Rs 31 crore.
Sikandar was released on March 30 on more than 5,500 screens in India and has received over 22,000 shows, which is said to be the highest in the Bollywood industry.
However, Sacnilk's report before the release pointed out that the advance booking sales of Sikandar have been progressing at a slow pace, though they have picked up some momentum in the last day before release. As of 8 PM on March 29, the film has sold around 300K tickets worth around 9 crores gross (without block seats), which is currently the second biggest of 2025, behind Chhaava.
On Day 2, Sikandar movie is expected to surpass Rs 30 crore mark in India nett, however, it will be keenly watched if the movie hits Rs 40 crore or Rs 50 crore due to the Eid holiday.
Sikandar Movie Leaked:
Just before the Sikandar movie could sweep fans off their feet, Sikandar faced a conundrum. Before the release date, the AR Murugadoss-directed thriller was reportedly leaked on pirated sites hours before the release.
Sites like Tamilrockers, Movierulz, Filmyzilla, and various Telegram groups have reportedly leaked the movie online, offering illegal download and streaming.
Komal Nahta, a film trade analyst and host of ETC Bollywood Business, said, "It's the worst nightmare for any producer. A film being leaked before its theatrical release. Unfortunately, that's what happened last evening to Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Sikandar', slated to release today in cinemas. The producer had the authorities pull the film down from 600 sites last night but the harm had been done."
He added, "The multiplication continued and is still continuing. Condemnable act which could cost the producer of the Salman starrer dear!"
Sikandar Review:
Not just that Sikandar has received a mixed rating from critics.
Taran Adarsh, a movie critic and Biz analyst, gave 2 out of 5 star to Sikandar. Calling it 'Dull', He said, letdown... Screenplay, music, direction, and even performances are lacklustre... Sky-high expectations from Salman Khan - AR Murugadoss, but all that glitters is not gold."
Adarsh also said, "Sikandar is among Salman Khan's weakest films... The superstar - with a massive fan following - deserved a better film with strong content, one that truly does justice to his stardom."
