Silver Rates In India Unchanged Today (12-10-2026) On Navratri Day 2: 999 Purity Silver Prices In Major Cities

Silver rates in India are unchanged for the second consecutive day of Navratri. In the majority of cities, silver prices continued to be at Rs 2.40 lakh per kg, but in southern cities like Chennai and Hyderabad, the rate at Rs 2.45 lakh. Silver prices across the global market erased their previous gains and traded under pressure on Monday as investors will focus on upcoming CPI inflation data. MCX gold crashed below Rs 1,50,300 and spot gold pulled back from their $4,200 mark. While MCX silver slipped below Rs 2.25 lakh and spot silver fell under $61 per ounce level.

As per analysts at Axis Securities, last week, silver settled around the $60 level, ending the session largely unchanged as prices recovered after testing a two-month low. The rebound was supported by the FOMC minutes, which indicated a low probability of a rate hike in October but a higher likelihood of a rate hike in December, lending support to bullion prices. According to the CME FedWatch Tool, markets were pricing in less than a 20% probability of a rate hike in October, while assigning more than an 80% chance of at least one 25 bps rate increase by December.

However, the upcoming US and India's CPI inflation data which is scheduled later this week will provide further clarity in policy rates decision ahead. Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus.com said, "Silver's muted advance calls for greater caution. Investors should watch the dollar, US yields, the rupee and upcoming inflation data before treating the latest move as a sustained uptrend. These are early-session quotes for the December 2026 MCX contracts, not closing prices."

100 grams silver price is at Rs 24,000 on October 12, while 10 grams is at Rs 2,400 and 8 grams at Rs 1,920. Further, 1Kg silver is priced at Rs 2,40,000.

Silver Rates In Majority Cities

In cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kerala, 1Kg silver is priced at Rs 2.45 lakh, while 100 grams and silver rates are at Rs 24,500 and Rs 2,450.

Meanwhile, in cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Delhi, 1Kg silver is at Rs 2.40 lakh, while 100 grams and 10 grams silver are priced at Rs 24,000 and Rs 2,400.

Among the global development, Trading Economics data cited that last week, President Donald Trump said his administration had reached an agreement for Russia to supply hundreds of thousands of tons of diesel, signaling a partial lifting of Moscow's ban on diesel exports.
