As per Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions, gold and silver rebounded as the US dollar weakened on early Democratic gains in the US midterm elections, with the party possibly taking both chambers of Congress. That raises the prospect of gridlock and tighter government spending. A Democratic sweep could hurt tech stocks and growth, lifting safe-haven demand and pushing bond yields lower, which helped drag the dollar to its lowest since late September. Iran and the US remain far from a deal.

He added that markets await non-farm payrolls for Fed clues. Technically, both metals are bouncing from oversold levels, with gold eyeing $4050 (~Rs 143,500) and silver $54 (~Rs 197,000).

Furthermore, Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money said, the domestic metal is tracking the recovery in international silver prices, although the rupee's appreciation is limiting some of the upside. Lower bond yields and a weaker dollar are providing additional support, while silver's industrial-demand exposure remains an important underlying factor. Nevertheless, the sharp losses recorded last month could attract selling interest at higher levels. The near-term bias remains positive, provided prices sustain above Rs 186,000-188,000. A decisive break below this range could expose the next support at Rs 178,000-180,000.
