Simple Wave Electric Scooter Launched in India: Check Price, Range, Battery, Storage & More; How To Book?
Bengaluru-based electric vehicle maker Simple Energy has entered India's family scooter market with the launch of its new Simple Wave range. The company has positioned the electric scooter around everyday family use, combining multiple battery options, connected technology and large storage capacity.

The Simple Wave range is available in three variants, Simple Wave S, Simple Wave and Simple Wave+ - with different battery sizes, display options and connected features. Depending on the variant, the scooter offers an IDC range of up to 243 km.
Simple Wave Offers Up to 243 Km Range
The top-end Simple Wave+ gets a 5 kWh battery pack and claims an IDC range of 243 km. It is powered by a 6.4 kW PMSM motor and has a top speed of 90 km/h, with wheel torque rated at 179 Nm. Other versions are available with 3.7 kWh, 2.7 kWh and 2.2 kWh battery packs. These configurations offer IDC ranges of up to 171 km, 132 km and 110 km, respectively.

The company has equipped the range with multiple riding modes. Ride, Eco and ECOX modes are available across the lineup, while higher-specification versions also get a Sport mode.
Simple Wave Electric Scooter Gets 70-Litre Storage Capacity
Storage is one of the key highlights of the new electric scooter. Simple Energy claims a total storage capacity of up to 70 litres, aimed at making the Wave suitable for regular family requirements.
The storage setup includes a 4-litre auxiliary compartment called the Pill, an under-seat storage area of up to 63 litres and a 3-litre glove box. The company has described the Pill as a first-of-its-kind auxiliary storage compartment.
The scooter comes with a 1,347 mm wheelbase and can carry a payload of up to 150 kg. Its battery pack and motor also receive IP67-rated protection.
Simple Energy is offering portable chargers with the Simple Wave range, with support for both standard and fast charging. The range-topping model can reportedly charge from 0% to 80% in around 2 hours and 15 minutes using the fast-charging capability. A 750W portable charger is also provided for home charging.
Power is delivered through a PMSM motor paired with a chain-drive transmission. According to the company, this setup is designed to provide smooth acceleration while maintaining efficiency for urban riding.
Simple Wave Electric Scooter in White, Red & Other Colours and Variants
The Simple Wave lineup is offered in several colour options, depending on the variant. The range includes shades such as Pearl White, Coral Red, Twilight Black, Polar Blue, Dolphin Grey and Forest Green.
The different configurations allow buyers to select battery capacity and technology based on their usage requirements, with the higher-end versions offering greater range and additional features.
Simple Wave Bookings Open Across India: Check Price and Delivery Details
The Simple Wave lineup has been launched at an introductory price starting from INR 1,09,999. Bookings are now open across Simple Energy's touchpoints, allowing customers to reserve the electric scooter either by visiting a company store or through its official website. Deliveries are scheduled to begin from the last week of September 2026, giving buyers a relatively short waiting period following the opening of bookings.
Commenting on the launch, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, Simple Energy, said, "The launch of the Simple Wave marks a defining moment for Simple Energy. We started with a belief that electric mobility could be engineered differently in India, and over the years we have built the technology, manufacturing capabilities and product platform to make that belief real."
He added that the Wave takes the company's technology platform into the family scooter category and has been developed with an emphasis on practicality, comfort and reliability.
