SJVN Wins 100 MW Solar Project in Gujarat
SJVN Ltd, a state-owned enterprise, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a 100 MW solar project in Gujarat. The project was obtained through an e-reverse auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL).
State-owned SJVN Ltd has secured a 100 MW solar project in Gujarat through an e-reverse auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). The project was awarded at a tariff of Rs 2.54 per unit on a build-own-and-operate basis through a tariff-based competitive bidding process of GUVNL Phase XXI.

Project Details
SJVN has secured the full quoted capacity of the 100 MW solar power project through the e-Reverse Auction conducted by GUVNL. The ground-mounted solar project will be developed by SJVN's wholly-owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), at an estimated cost of Rs 550 crore.
The project will be executed by SGEL in the Solar Park being developed by Gujarat Industrial Power Corporation Limited in Khavda, Gujarat, through an EPC contract. The power purchase agreement will be executed after the issuance of the Letter of Award from GUVNL.
Project Benefits
The project is expected to generate approximately 252 million units in its first year of commissioning, with a cumulative energy generation of about 5,866 million units over a period of 25 years. Additionally, the commissioning of this solar project is anticipated to reduce carbon emissions by 2,87,463 tonnes.

With the addition of this project, SJVN's project portfolio now stands at 59,872 MW. The company is committed to achieving its new mission of 12,000 MW by 2026 and shares a vision of reaching 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW of installed capacity by 2040.
