And in due time, there could be a possibility that you can just buy LPG based on your requirement i.e. meaning to say you will not be forced into buying the full 14 kg cylinder. As per estimates the move will benefit close to 80 million Ujjala beneficiaries.

In the month of July, prices of LPG cooking gas increased by a tad for the second straight month by Re 1 to Rs 4.5 per cylinder. This is the second consecutive monthly hike in non-subsidised 14.2 kg LPG (liquified petroleum gas) cylinder rates after a sharp reduction in the month of May.

The surge comes on the back of international pricing wherein rates have largely been now trading in a range-bound fashion due to coronavirus concerns that may stoke demand recovery. Crude is trading close to levels of $40 per barrel.
