Stock Market: BSE, NSE Closed For 4 Days In A Row

Due to Diwali Balipratipada, stock market trading will be suspended on the next day, Friday. As a result, due to the typical weekly holiday, the stock market will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Due to Gurunanak Jayanti and weeklong holidays, the stock market will be closed for three days in a row on November 19, 20, and 21.

Muhurat Trading

For the Muhurat Trading session on Diwali, the Stock Markets (BSE and NSE) will open for one hour today (4 November). Muhurat trade is done to mark the beginning of the new Samvat 2078. On Thursday, from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Normal Market: 6:15 pm-7:15 pm
Closing Session: 7:25 pm -7:35 pm
F&O, Currency (CDS), MCX: 6:15 pm-7:15 pm

In the meanwhile, the market has become jittery ahead of the Federal Reserve's policy meeting. On Wednesday, the committee is expected to announce its verdict, which traders will be aware of ahead of Muhurat trading.

Many believe the Fed will start unwinding its $120 billion in monthly bond purchases by the middle of next year, and then cease the programme entirely. For the time being, the amount of monthly bond purchases is likely to be $15 billion every month.
