Sensex, Nifty Latest:

Sensex and Nifty recorded a fruitful trading session, rising by nearly 2% each. The performance is due to 90-days pauce by Donald Trump on its reciprocal tariffs for other countries, while the 47th President of US slapped a whopping 124% tariff on Chinese products. Tensions in US and China keeps investors sentiment volatile. Also, Q4 results will keep stock-specific movement.

As per Trading Economics, Traders welcomed a 90-day suspension of an additional 26% tariff on India, while also engaging in short-term profit-taking ahead of another market closure on Monday for the Ambedkar Jayanti holiday. March inflation expectations also lifted sentiment, with inflation projected to stand at 3.6%, the lowest level since last July, raising hopes that the RBI may introduce further interest rate cuts. Gains were capped by concerns over an escalating trade war between the US and China, after the US raised tariffs on Chinese imports to 145%. For the week, the index is pointing to a fall of around 0.3%, which would mark the 2nd straight weekly loss amid concerns over a global trade war.
