Rupee Edges Higher At 83.20 Against The US Dollar
The rupee closed 2 paise higher at 83.20 (provisional) against the US Dollar on Thursday, supported by the correction in crude oil prices and the greenback.
The local currency opened flat at 83.22 against the US dollar in morning trade. The rupee closed at 83.22 on Wednesday.

Sensex, Nifty End Almost 1% Lower, Berger Paints tanks Almost 6%, TechM Down 4%
The Indian equity market closed in the red on Thursday. At market close, the benchmark index Sensex plunged 610 points, 0.92% at 65,508.32 points; while Nifty fell almost 0.98% below the 19,550 mark.
The share price of Berger Paints fell 5.68% at Rs 569.80, while Tech Mahindra shares plummeted 4.59% at Rs 1229.50 per share.

Vodafone Idea Down Over 3% as Market Share Losses Continue
Vodafone Idea shares were down nearly 3 percent in the morning trade on September 28 after the monthly subscription data for July, published by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), noted a loss of 13.2 lakh subscribers for the company. The TRAI report for June had observed a loss of 12.9 lakh subscribers from Vodafone Idea, according to Moneycontrol.

JSW Infrastructure IPO: Issue subscribed 37.37x on final day
On the last day of bidding, the initial public offering (IPO) by JSW Infrastructure, a subsidiary of the JSW Group, has been subscribed 37.37 times. In contrast to the offering size of Rs 1,540 crore, investors have bid for 509.3 crore equity shares, totalling more than Rs 60,000 crore at the upper price band. The last day had 57 subscriptions for the QIB part of the offer, 10.31 subscriptions from retail investors, and 15.99 subscriptions from HNIs.
