Stock Market Live Updates: Sensex Down 280 Pts, Nifty Below 24,700; Titan, Maruti, Trent Limit Losses

Today's opening of the Indian stock market was cautious as in the opening trading session, the Sensex fell more than 200%, while the Nifty began lower at 24,720.25. Global market cues and investor expectations ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) summary, which will be announced tomorrow, are two major factors contributing to this calm start. As traders anticipate the RBI's decision and other major economic data, the market is expected to stay turbulent. Uncertainty has also been exacerbated by recent US threats of higher tariffs on Indian exports. Globally, Asian stock markets performed mixed today. For instance, Japan's Nikkei 225 rose after a surge in US stocks, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 also witnessed gains. However, Chinese markets, such as the Hang Seng in Hong Kong, were more cautious. According to the GIFT Nifty, the Indian stock market is expected to open flat to positive as of right now. This occurs as the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India is now in the middle of its three-day meeting, with the announcement of the policy decision scheduled for Wednesday.

“On the daily chart, prices have bounced after a marginal dip below the 89-DEMA, indicating that this crucial moving average continues to act as reliable support. Technically, an inside bar candle has been formed, reflecting willingness by bulls to defend crucial support levels.
