Closing Bell: BSE Sensex Closes 181 Pts Down, Nifty Below 24,800; Bajaj Auto, Hindalco Top Losers

Stock Market Closing: The Indian stock market on Friday closed in red after opening on a weaker note this Friday. The Sensex slipped over 160 points to start the day at 81,465.69. The Nifty 50 also began in the red, opening at 24,812.60 down 21 points from its previous close of 24,833.

Gifty Nifty futures were seen trading at 24,953.90, up by 6.50 points or 0.03%, as of the morning session at 8: 20 AM on May 30th, hinting at a steady to mildly positive opening for the stock market.

This comes after a strong performance in the previous session, where the BSE Sensex closed at 81,633.02, with a gain of 320.70 points or 0.39%. Similarly, the NSE Nifty 50 ended at 24,833.60, up by 81.15 points or 0.33%, due broad-based buying across sectors. Sectorally, Nifty Realty Nifty Metal led the rally, emerging as the top gainer.
