Stock Market Live: As of noon on Monday, the Sensex was trading at 82,272.28, down 58.31 points or 0.07%, while the Nifty 50 was just below the key 25,000 mark at 24,999.45, down 20.35 points or 0.08%. Despite the flat market trend, PSU bank stocks, pharma stocks, and realty stocks saw strong buying interest, each gaining nearly 2% in intraday trade. Top gainers on the BSE included Divi's Laboratories, Nahal Holdings, JSW Energy, Punjab National Bank (PNB), and Bajaj Auto.
The Indian stock market opened flat on Monday as Gift Nifty indicated a muted start of Dalal Street on May 19. Nifty 50 opened at 25005, whereas Sensex was up at 82354 points.
After a week of registering modest gains amid geopolitical uncertainty, Dalal Street is up for another session of highs and lows. The Indian stock market today is likely to be impacted with updates related to US-China trade developments, India-Pakistan tensions, Rupee-dollar movement, and q4 results today.
Gift Nifty has indicated a muted start of Nifty and Sensex, meanwhile defence sector stocks will remain in focus on Monday.
The Indian stock market rallied last week as Nifty 50 ended the session above 25,000 and BSE Sensex closed at 82330 points. Defence sector stocks emerged as the top gainers and they are likely to retain their strong momentum on Monday.

Reliance Power signs PPA with Green Digital Private Limited (GDL), Bhutan
Reliance Power Limited has signed commercial term sheet for long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Green Digital Private Limited (GDL), owned by Druk Holding and Investments Limited (DHI), the investment arm of the Royal Government of Bhutan. Reliance Power and DHI will jointly develop Bhutan’s largest solar power project through a 50:50 venture, with an installed capacity of 500 MW.
