Stock Market Live Updates: Benchmark indices erased early gains by noon, the Sensex was trading at at 81,511.42, gained 324.98 points (0.40%) today, while the Nifty 50 index rose by 74.10 points (0.30%) to 24,758.00. On the BSE, shares of Sun Pharma, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, Tech Mahindra, and HUL were among the top gainers today.

The Indian stock markets open flat on Wednesday, May 21. While many stocks reacted to company Q4 results, there was a bullishness seen in the pharmaceutical sector stocks.

Gift Nifty on Wednesday remained flat, indicating a mixed start for the Nifty and Sensex today. As the US stock market ended in red and other Asian stock market indices witnessed a strong start to Wednesday's trading session, all eyes will be on the movement of the Indian stock market today, ie May 21.

The Indian stock market on Tuesday witnessed selling pressure as Nifty 50 closed 262.5 points lower at 24683.9, whereas Sensex ended the session with a loss of 872 points at 81186.44 points.
