Stock Market Outlook Today, August 11, 2026: Nifty, Sensex Direction Hinges on Earnings, Crude & US Inflation
Indian equity markets are likely to remain in a cautious consolidation phase on Tuesday, August 11, as investors assess the final leg of the Q1 FY27 earnings season alongside global developments. With the broader market lacking a decisive trigger in recent sessions, stock-specific moves could remain prominent, while crude oil prices, US-Iran negotiations and upcoming US inflation data may influence overall risk sentiment.
Stock Market Outlook Today, August 11, 2026: Sensex, Nifty Prediction for Tuesday
Market momentum is expected to remain constructive, although the benchmarks could continue to trade within a defined range in the near term.
"Market momentum is likely to remain constructive this week, with the final leg of the Q1FY27 earnings season set to drive both stock-specific and broader market action. As earnings announcements taper off, investors are likely to focus on the sustainability of the earnings recovery and emerging sectoral trends," said Siddhartha Khemka, Head of Research, Wealth Management, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd.

"Developments around the US-Iran negotiations, crude oil prices and US inflation data will remain key drivers of market direction and global risk appetite," he added.
Nifty Outlook Today, 11 August 2026: 24,300-24,400 Key Support Zone
The Nifty 50 has remained in a narrow trading range, with the index consolidating for several sessions after its sharp previous upmove. The benchmark has been moving between 24,430 and 24,700 over the past five sessions, suggesting that investors are currently waiting for a stronger directional trigger.
At the previous close, the Nifty 50 edged up 0.05% to settle at 24,583, while the Sensex gained 0.06% to close at 78,542. The formation of indecisive candles over recent sessions indicates uncertainty, although the broader technical structure continues to remain positive.
According to Bajaj Broking Research, the Nifty formed a doji candle on the daily chart, with shadows on either side, indicating continued consolidation. The index has retraced only around 23.6% of its earlier sharp rise from 23,606 to 24,774, which suggests that the recent consolidation could represent a higher-base formation rather than a reversal of the broader trend.
The brokerage said, "Going ahead, holding above the 24,300-24,400 support zone could trigger a pullback towards the previous week's high of 24,800. A decisive breakout above 24,800 would confirm the resumption of the uptrend, opening the way towards 25,000-25,200 in the coming weeks,"
On the downside, the 24,400-24,300 area remains the immediate support zone for the Nifty. This region is supported by the previous week's low as well as the 20-day EMA. A stronger support level is placed around 24,000, and holding above this mark could help preserve the index's positive short-term bias.
Bank Nifty Outlook Today: 58,000 Remains Key Hurdle
The Bank Nifty also remained range-bound, with the index forming a second consecutive bearish candle accompanied by shadows on either side. The pattern indicates some profit booking at higher levels as banking stocks continue to consolidate.
Bank Nifty remained within last week's 57,300-58,300 range, with 58,000 continuing to act as an immediate hurdle. The broader seven-week consolidation range remains between 56,500 and 58,700, suggesting that the index has yet to establish a clear breakout or breakdown.
Bajaj Broking Research expects the ongoing consolidation to continue. "Within the consolidation index holding above 57,500-57,300 would keep the near-term bias constructive and could trigger a pullback towards 58,300, followed by 58,700 levels. On the downside, a decisive break below 57,500-57,300 (20 days EMA & Previous week low) would signal extended corrective move towards the 56,500, which forms the lower band of the broader consolidation channel," said the brokerage.
