HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, and multiple Nifty 50 stocks hit their 52-week low as geopolitical tensions due to the Iran-US war, crude oil price rally spooked the investors. However, the massive stock market crash today was followed by a mild recovery in Nifty and Sensex.

Nifty 50, after falling nearly 3.3% during Thursday's intraday trading session, made some last minute recovery and closed marginally above the crucial 23,000 mark. BSE Sensex saw one its biggest-ever decline of nearly 2500 points and closed at 74,207 on Thursday, March 19.

As per the BSE data, around Rs 13.5 lakh crore of stock market investors was eroded during Thursday's trading session. HDFC share price hit their 52-week low mark of Rs 772 per share, wheres, ITC share price today dipped to its fresh 52-week low mark of Rs 297.10 per share. Nifty 50 stock Hindustan Unilever Limited dipped to its 52-week low mark of Rs 2070 per share on NSE. Bajaj Finserve share price also tanked to its 52-week low mark of Rs 1,702.10 per share.

HDFC Bank share price declined nearly 5% to hit a fresh 52-week low mark of Rs 772 per share on BSE on Thursday. The massive sell-off in HDFC Bank share price today came after Atanu Chakraborty stepped down as non-executive chairman of HDFC Bank. Chakraborty stepped down citing ethical concerns over practices he said conflicted with his personal values.
