Stock Pick Of The Week: Shares of Vedanta Limited have surged nearly 7% in the two weeks since the metal and mining conglomerate announced its first-quarter results for the financial year 2026-27. Despite the 7% surge over the past two weeks, the Anil Agarwal-backed metal stock has seen a sharp correction since the demerger of four separate entities. Its recent technical structure indicates that Vedanta stock has turned constructive after finding support in the Rs 250-260 zone, according to Monarch Networth Capital.

Vedanta share price was trading 2.78% higher at Rs 284.7 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 1,11,328.75 crore on BSE at 1: 50 pm. The stock had touched an intraday high mark of 285.95 per share and an intraday low mark of Rs 277.20 per share.

Investors can act on the 'Buying Price' of Vedanta stock at Rs 270-Rs 280, according to Ketan Kaushik - Derivative Analyst. The expert gave a target price of Rs 310-340 per share, indicating at 22% upside in the metal stock in two to three months. The expert gave a stop loss at Rs 248 per share.

Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta Limited reported a whopping 71% year-on-year jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 5,473 crore in the first quarter of financial year 2026-27. The metal-to-mining conglomerate's net revenue surged by 50% on a year-on-year basis. Vedanta's net revenue increased by 50% on an annual basis to Rs 24,205 crore in Q1FY27 against Rs 15,754 crore reported in the year-ago period.

The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation increased 98% on an annual basis. The firm's EBITDA stood at Rs 8,469 crore crore. EBITDA margin increased by 57%, ie by 985 basis points on a year-on-year basis and around 225 basis on a sequential basis. Overall borrowing cost reduced to less than 8.5% p.a.

Vedanta Share Price Technical Analysis

The metal stock's technical structure has turned constructive after finding support near Rs 250-260 zone. The stock's rebound above anchored VWAP, support from the 200-DMA and sustained RSI readings near 50 indicate improving momentum. Traders may watch ₹270-280 as the proposed accumulation zone, highlighted Monarch Networth Capital in its report released on Monday, August 10.

"The stock witnessed a sharp upward move from the 158 level, reaching an all-time high of 360 in May 2026. Following this peak, the stock underwent a 50% Fibonacci retracement and established support in the 250-260 zone," according to Ketan Kaushik - Derivative Analyst.

Vedanta stock is showing signs of a reversal around its 200-day moving average following a pullback. Its trajectory is hinting at a strong bullish candlestick formation above the POC (Point of Control) support zone, noted Monarch Networth Capital, highlighting that it is forming a higher bottom pattern, indicating strong buying interest at lower levels.
