Stocks In Focus On February 11, 2021

After a smart recovery staged in yesterday's session, helped by RIL and TCS scrip, indices may open lower in line with losses on the SGX Nifty. At around 6:30 am, SGX Nifty traded weak by 0.23 percent.

Here are the few stocks that shall be in focus on Thursday, February 11, 2021 ahead of the weekly derivatives expiry:

1. National Fertilizers Ltd. (NFL):

In its divestment drive, the centre has taken a decision to pare as much as 20 percent stake in National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL) through an offer for sale. At the current market price, selling 20% stake in National Fertilizers Ltd can fetch about Rs. 400 crore to the exchequer. NFL is the second largest producer of urea in the country and accounts for 15% of the total urea produced in India. The scrip last quoted at Rs. 41.65 per share on the NSE.

Bank of India shall be in focus after its Q3 earnings which reported only a marginal increase in stress with stable operating metrics. The net profit at the public run lender came in four times as asset quality remained largely stable resulting in sharp drop in provisioning year on year.

Also, the CCI approved the acquisition of BOI Axa Invst Managers and BOI Axa Trustee Services by the lender. The scrip last closed higher by over 2 percent at Rs. 60.80 apiece on the NSE.

This jewellery and watch major posted lower profit at Rs. 419 crore in Q3FY21 in comparison to Rs. 470 crore during the same period a year-ago. Revenue however reported a surge YoY to Rs. 7287 crore. Titan Company said it reported a return to year-on-year growth in sales in Q3FY21 led by an impressive festive season recovery in the Jewellery division.

Adar Poonawalla led Rising Sun Holdings is set to acquire a controlling stake in the company via preferential allotment and open offer route.

5. TCS:

The IT major announced strengthening of its ties with Amazon Web Services (AWS) with the launch of the new TCS AWS Business Unit (BU) to enable enterprise customers hasten their innovation drive and result in improved business outcomes via AWS. The scrip of TCS last ended higher by over 1% at Rs. 3213.3.

BPCL which is up for the divestment plan will buyout shares of Oman Oil Company in the Bina refinery project for about Rs. 2,400 crore

7. HCL:

IT major HCL reported net loss of Rs. 34 crore in the Q3FY21 period as against net profit of Rs. 14.5 crore in the year ago period. Also, there has been given a go-ahead to the sale of the company's wholly-owned subsidiary HCL Infotech to Novezo Consulting at a purchase price based on the enterprise value of HCL Infotech as on the date of the share transfer.
