PVR Inox

PVR INOX has announced that V Square Mall, Manjakuppam, in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, would host the opening of its first multiplex. The first-ever three-screen multiplex in the city's first shopping mall offers Cuddalore's citizens a modern movie experience.

With 139 screens spread over 23 locations, PVR INOX will bolster its position in Tamil Nadu and keep growing in the southern region of India, where it already has 549 screens spread across 98 properties. PVR INOX Limited is the largest movie theatre operator in India, boasting 1709 screens spread over 358 locations in 113 cities (both in India and Sri Lanka).

Muthoot Capital Services

The company has finalised the terms of issue of secured, rated, redeemable, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) upto Rs. 100 crores on a private placement basis to certain eligible investors permitted to invest in the NCDs under applicable laws. The Debentures are proposed to be listed in the Wholesale Debt Market Segment of BSE Limited. December 28th, 2023 has been fixed as the allotment date and December 28th, 2026 is the date of maturity.

The instrument comes with a tenure of 36 months at a coupon rate of 10.00% per annum. The debentures come with a base issue size of Rs. 50 crores consisting of 5,000 NCDs of face value Rs 1,00,000 and an option to retain oversubscription of upto Rs. 50 crores consisting of 5,000 NCDs of face value Rs 1,00,000 aggregating to total issue size 10,000 NCDs of face value Rs 1,00,000 each aggregating to Rs 100 crores.

Zydus Lifesciences

Leading international pharmaceutical discovery company Zydus Lifesciences Limited stated that the USFDA has given them authorization to start a Phase II clinical trial of the NLRP3 inhibitor "ZYIL1" in Parkinson's disease patients. More than 8.5 million individuals worldwide are believed to have Parkinson's disease, with one million of those cases occurring in the United States. In the US, there are ninety thousand fresh cases of Parkinson's disease recorded per year. According to analysts, Parkinson's disease treatment expenses reach almost $52 billion annually in the United States, and by 2037, that number is expected to reach $80 billion annually.

Adani Green Energy

Adani Green Energy said on Friday that two step-down companies, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Ltd. and Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven Ltd., had been incorporated. The approved and paid-up share capital of each of the two step-down subsidiaries is one lakh. In accordance with the filing, the primary goals of the new subsidiaries are to produce, develop, transform, distribute, transmit, sell, and provide any sort of power or electrical energy utilising solar, wind, or other renewable energy sources.

Cipla

Cipla Limited declared that it has decided to invest an additional Rs 42 crore (approximately) in the digital technology startup GoApptiv Private Limited. This move will further extend Cipla's footprint throughout the healthcare continuum, particularly to the underprivileged population by providing more access to life-saving medications, in keeping with Cipla's objective to deepen investments in channels of the future.

Following the closing of this agreement, Cipla will own a fully diluted 22.99% stake in GoApptiv. This is Cipla's third investment in GoApptiv, consisting of a mix of compulsorily convertible preference shares and equity shares. GoApptiv has seen notable growth in product categories and underserved markets as a result of previous investments made by Cipla in 2020 and 2022.

The company has announced that its expansion of the beer facility at the Hassan plant is on schedule and is expected to be completed by March / April 2024.

Mankind Pharma

Investing £1 million, Mankind Pharma has taken a 1.3% stake in Actimed Therapeutics. Mankind Pharma now owns 10.19% of Actimed Therapeutics as a result of this transaction.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) has signed individual Shipbuilding Contracts with the European client for the construction of three (03) units of 7,500 DWT Multi-Purpose Hybrid Powered Vessels on December 14, 2023, for a value of approx $42 million USD, as per a stock exchange filing.

Tata Power

For the Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan, owned by NTPC Limited (NTPC), Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL), a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has secured a contract to deliver 152 MWp DCR Solar PV Modules. The order value of the project is estimated at over Rs 418 crore.

Lupin

The company has announced that the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) has approved its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Allopurinol Tablets USP, 100 mg and 300 mg. This approval allows the company to market a generic version of Zyloprim Tablets, 100 mg and 300 mg, which is the reference listed drug (RLD) of Casper Pharma, LLC. The product will be produced at Lupin's Indian plant in Pithampur.
