The floor price is less than the last trading price by 3.6 percent. TCS's BSE shares wrapped up 1.8 percent down at Rs 4,144.25 on March 18.

Global pharmaceutical leader Lupin Limited (Lupin) has announced that Christoph Funke has been appointed to the newly-created Chief Technical Operations Officer role. Christoph presents an abundance of expertise to Lupin with over 30 years of experience in supply chain management, technical operations, and pharmaceutical manufacture on a worldwide scale. He will supervise Lupin's Technical Operations department, which integrates procurement, supply chain, and production, and he will be headquartered in Mumbai.

The Income Tax Department sent the corporation an Assessment Order and Demand Notice dated March 16, 2024 on March 17, 2024 at 9:24 PM. The order/notice mentioned above was sent to the company for the fiscal year 2015-16 wherein certain additions/ disallowances amounting to Rs 3,90,14,973/- have been made and Income Tax demand of Rs 2,62,98,764/- have been raised, as per a stock exchange filing.

Sonata Software announced that it and Zones, LLC, a global supplier of cloud managed services and end-to-end IT solutions, have inked a cooperative go-to-market agreement. Zones and Sonata Software will collaboratively create and deploy industry-specific solutions to enhance cost efficiency and data optimization as part of their five-year agreement.

Tata Steel

An additional update on its operations in the UK is that, as a result of an erosion in operational stability, Tata Steel UK has chosen to shut down the Coke Ovens at the Port Talbot plant in Wales on Monday. In order to mitigate the effects of the coke oven shutdown, Tata Steel UK plans to boost its imports of coke. Many of Tata Steel's heavy-end assets at Port Talbot are nearing the end of their useful lives, the company had previously declared. In order to transition to sustainable low-CO2 steelmaking, Tata Steel is investing £1.25 billion in Electric Arc Furnace technology at Port Talbot and asset upgrades. The company is currently in an advanced stage of consultations with trade unions in the UK regarding its proposed restructuring. This involves closing the iron and steelmaking assets at Port Talbot.

Lemon Tree Hotels

Lemon Tree Hotels announced its latest signing - Lemon Tree Hotels, Agartala. The property is expected to open in FY27 and shall be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, as per a stock exchange filing dated 18th March.
