Hero MotoCorp

Hero MotoCorp, the largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer in the world, has received 13,688 bookings for its recently released flagship motorcycle, the Karizma XMR. Customer deliveries of the Karizma XMR will commence during the festive season this month following dispatches to Hero MotoCorp outlets that have already begun. Bookings for the initial collection of customers for the Hero Karizma XMR began on August 29th, 2023, and ended on September 30th, 2023, at the introductory price of INR 1,72,900/-. The price of the new Karizma XMR is Rs. 1,79,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), and the company will shortly reveal the new booking window.

Hindustan Aeronautics

At a ceremony on October 4th, HAL handed the first LCA Tejas twin-seater to the Indian Air Force in the presence of Rakha Rajya Mantri, Mr. Ajay Bhatt. Speaking at the event, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari said that the IAF will continue to purchase 97 more LCAs, bringing the total number of LCAs in its inventory to 220.

"I am proud to be part of this historic occasion and salute the spirit of HAL which has been spearheading Swadeshi manufacturing in defence", said Mr. Ajay Bhatt. "In all, the development of LCA Tejas has also brought about a shift in our approach to defence procurement. It has demonstrated that India has the talent, knowledge and capability to design, develop and manufacture world-class fighters", he added.

Mr. C B Ananthakrishnan, CMD (Add!. Charge), HAL said that the company is committed to deliver all the twin seater aircraft pertaining to IOC and FOC contract to IAF in the current financial year. With this, we are moving one step closer towards achieving self-sufficiency on the fixed wing segment. These trainers also ensure smooth transition for the pilots from trainer to fighter aircraft in this class", he added.

DMart

According to the regulatory filing, DMart reported revenue for the quarter ending September 30, 2023 of Rs 12,307.72 crore, up 18.52% from revenue of Rs 10,384.66 crore in the same quarter last year. There were 336 stores in existence as of September 30, 2023. Avenue Supermarts reported revenue from operations of Rs 7,649.64 crore for the quarter from July and September of FY22.

Manappuram Finance

In relation to its scheduled initial public offer (IPO), Asirvad Micro Finance Limited (AMFL), a subsidiary of Manappuram Finance Limited, has submitted a draft red herring prospectus to the Securities and Exchange Board of India, BSE Limited, and National Stock Exchange of India Limited on October 5, 2023. Amfl aims to offer new equity shares with a face value of Rs. 10 apiece in an (IPO) that may raise up to Rs. 15,000 million.

Adani Total Gas

In accordance with the standards of the Companies Act of 2013 and the SEBI Listing Regulations, the Board of Directors of the firm nominated Dr. Sangkaran Ratnam as an Additional Director (Non-Executive, Non-Independent) of the firm on October 4, 2023.

Bajaj Finance

The NBFC behemoth's new loans booked during the September 2023 quarter jumped by 26% to 8.53 million from 6.76 million during Q2 of FY23. By September 30, 2023, there were 76.56 million customers, up from 62.91 million in the same period last year. The company's assets under management (AUM) jumped by 33% from Rs 218,366 crore on September 30, 2022, to roughly Rs 290,200 crore on September 30, 2023. Its deposit book jumped by 39% YoY from Rs 39,422 crore in Q2FY23, to almost Rs 54,800 crore in Q2FY24.

Oriental Rail Infrastructure

Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited has secured orders worth Rs.37,64,36,430.88/- from 'Modern Coach Factory (MCF), Raebareli, Indian Railways' for manufacturing and supplying of 542 sets of 'Seat and Berths', which includes 446 sets for LHB AC 3T coaches and 96 sets for LWSCN coaches.
The above-mentioned order of 446 sets for LHB AC 3T coaches is to be completed/supplied upto December 31, 2024 whereas the order of 96 sets for LWSCN coaches is to be completed/supplied upto February 29, 2024, as per a regulatory filing.

Larsen & Toubro

With effect from October 2, 2023, Mr. E. P. Sajit has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Head, Water & Effluent Treatment IC (Senior Management) of the firm. He began working with the company on September 2, 1996. With more than 30 years of expertise, he has worked in a variety of sectors including minerals and metals, water and effluent treatment, and marine construction. Mr. E P Sajit is a civil engineer from Kerala University, a graduate of the Xavier Labour Research Institute in Jamshedpur, and also an Incorporated Engineer with the Institute of Civil Engineers UK with IPMA Level D Certification. He serves as Senior Vice President and Head of L&T Construction's Water & Effluent Treatment IC. Additionally, he recently graduated from INSEAD's Advanced Management Program in France.

Exide Industries

On 4th October 2023, Exide Industries Limited (EIL) invested Rs. 340,00,00,020/- by way of subscription of 10,96,77,420 equity shares of Rs. 10/- each at a premium of Rs. 21 of its wholly owned subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL), on rights basis. There is no change in the shareholding percentage of the company in EESL pursuant to such an acquisition.

Nazara Technologies

A 100% stake in the game marketing firm PublishME was acquired for USD 2 million from its existing shareholders, Nazara Technologies Limited and Ozgur Ozalp, by the Singapore-based NODWIN Gaming, one of South Asia's top gaming and esports media companies and a material subsidiary of Nazara Technologies Ltd.
