Stocks To Watch Today: Paytm, Adani Ports, TCS, Canara Bank & More

Among Godrej Properties, TCS, Trent, Canara Bank and Bajaj Electricals, here are the top stocks that are likely to be in focus today, 10th October.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone

On Friday, the company informed stock exchanges that it is closely monitoring the action on ground which is concentrated in South Israel, whereas Haifa port is situated in the North. The Adani Group company has taken measures to ensure safety of its employees and all of them are safe.

"We remain fully alert and prepared with a business continuity plan that will enable us to respond effectively to any eventuality," said the company.

"The overall contribution of Haifa in APSEZ's numbers is relatively small at 3% of the total cargo volume. For the current financial year (Apr 23-Mar 24), we have guided for Haifa Cargo volumes range of 10-12 MMT and APSEZ's total cargo volume guidance of 370-390 MMT. In the initial six months (Apr-Sep 23), APSEZ's total cargo volume was ~203 MMT, of which the Haifa share is ~6 MMT. We stay confident of APSEZs business performance," said the company in a stock exchange filing.

Paytm

One97 Communications Limited, the company that regulates the Paytm brand, stated that Paytm Payments Services Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary, has become the first in the industry to provide merchants with a Guest Checkout solution based on Alternate ID (ALT ID) across networks. This enables customers to complete a purchase while checking out as a guest on an e-commerce or merchant website without saving sensitive card information.

"The solution meets RBI's guidelines as the regulator had mandated that entities involved in card transaction processing cannot save sensitive card credentials for guest checkout transactions, and that the card number has to be replaced by an Alternate ID associated with card information, by October 31, 2023," said the company in a stock exchange filing.

Canara Bank

The Central Government has appointed Shri Bhavendra Kumar, Chief General Manager, Canara Bank as Executive Director, Canara Bank for a period of three years.

Godrej Properties

Godrej Properties Ltd. (GPL) announced the opening of Taj The Trees at their flagship project and one of India's most sustainably planned mixed-use developments - The Trees in Vikhroli, Mumbai. The hotel is entirely owned by Godrej Properties and will be managed as a luxury Taj hotel by the Indian Hotel Companies Limited (IHCL).
