Directed by Martina Radwan and produced by MakeMake Productions in association with Netflix, the nearly two-hour-long documentary takes viewers behind the scenes of the series that became a global cultural phenomenon since its debut in 2016. Rather than continuing the narrative of the show, the film explores the creative, technical, and emotional journey of wrapping up the story of Hawkins and the Upside Down.

Through candid interviews, on-set footage and personal reflections, the documentary highlights the process of making the final season. Fans will get an intimate look at table reads, rehearsals, visual effects discussions, and storytelling decisions, while also witnessing the strong bond formed among the cast over nearly a decade of filming.

Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo share their experiences growing up on the series and reflect on how Stranger Things has impacted their personal and professional lives. Netflix describes the documentary as capturing "the cast, creators, and crew as they bring the final season to life, and say goodbye to the show that changed them forever."

The documentary also comes after the release of Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 3, with the Duffer Brothers confirming that this behind-the-scenes feature would serve as the final installment exploring the series' journey, spanning all five seasons. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 2 minutes.

Will There Be a Stranger Things Season 6?

Despite lingering fan theories sparked by the cliffhanger in the final season, the Duffer Brothers have confirmed that Stranger Things will not continue beyond Season 5. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ross Duffer stated, "I think this season really closes the door on this story." He emphasised that the show is concluding because its story had naturally reached its end.
