Suzlon Share Price: Why This Powerpack Energy Stock Fell On Tuesday?

Suzlon Energy Share Price: Shares of Suzlon Energy remained under pressure on Tuesday after the renewable energy solutions provider announced that it witnessed order cancellations and truncation in January.

Suzlon Energy said on Friday, March 28, that an order worth 100.8 MW for the 3 MW series, secured in December last year, was cancelled. Additionally, its order from O2 Power Private Limited was truncated by 50%.

Suzlon Energy shares were trading nearly 2% lower during Tuesday's intraday trade, extending the losses made in the last week. The company scrip made some recovery and was trading 1.38% lower at Rs 55.82 apiece on BSE at 12:50 pm with a market capitalisation of Rs 76,240.22 crore. Suzlon Energy stock's value has declined nearly 5.2% in last five trading sessions. However, the company scrip managed to make gains in the last one month as its value surged nearly 12.3% in one month, despite a 14.54 decline year to date (YTD). The company scrip touched its 52-week lowest mark of Rs 37.95 apiece on BSE on 13 May, 2024. Whereas, it hit its 52-week-high mark of Rs 86.04 apiece on 12 October,2024.


Suzlon Energy Share Price: What the company said about orders?

In a BSE filing on Friday, the company notified its shareholders about multiple order cancellations and an order truncation in January. Despite losing orders confirmed as long as two years ago, the company's order book value increased from 5,523 MW on 28 January 2025 to 5,622 MW on 28 March 2025. The revised order book value also included dispatches made during Q4 FY25.

The company notified that its order with Vibrant Energy, secured in May 2023, and another with Global Utility, secured in December 2024, stood cancelled.

"In continuation to our announcement dated 17th May 2023 titled, "Suzlon secures a new order of 99 MW from Vibrant Energy", this is to inform that the customer has decided not to proceed with the project hence the said order stands cancelled," Suzlon Energy shared in its BSE filing on Friday,

It had also secured a 100.8 MW energy project from Mahindra Susten Private Limited in December, 2023. As per the order, the company was set to install 48 units of wind turbine generators and tower in Maharashtra.

"In continuation to our announcement dated 15th December 2023 titled, "Suzlon secures a 100.8 MW order for the 3 MW series from a leading Global Utility", this is to inform that the customer has decided not to proceed with the project hence the said order stands cancelled," read Suzlon Energy's BSE filing.

Additionally, Suzlon Energy's order of 201.6 MW from O2 Power Private Limited (Teq Green Power XI Private Limited) has been truncated to 100.80 MW. The order secured now would be executed in the name of Solalite Power Private limited instead of Teq Green Power XI Private Limited.
