Tata Group Airline, Air India Welcomes Second Airbus A350 In A Bid To Expand Fleet

Tata Group-owned Air India marked the arrival of its second Airbus A350 aircraft, bolstering its fleet and continuing the airline's transformation journey.

The Airbus A350 took off from Toulouse, France, and touched down at the bustling Delhi airport on Saturday, February 3. This follows the airline's achievement on December 23, 2023, when it received the initial delivery of one of the 30 Airbus A350-900 aircraft slated for its fleet.

The A350-900 aircraft boasts a three-class cabin arrangement, offering a total of 316 seats meticulously designed by Collins Aerospace. Among its premium features are 28 business class suites featuring full-flat beds, 24 premium economy seats with additional legroom and unique features, and 264 spacious economy class seats. Passengers on board can enjoy the latest Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system, complete with HD screens.

This addition to Air India's fleet aligns with the airline's commitment to enhancing the passenger experience and further solidifies its position in the competitive aviation market. The state-of-the-art A350-900 is renowned for its fuel efficiency, advanced technology, and a focus on passenger comfort.

Air India's growth plans were underscored in February of the previous year when it placed a record-breaking order for 470 aircraft from aviation giants Airbus and Boeing. This colossal purchase stands as the airline's largest single order in history, reflecting its confidence in the aviation sector's rebound and the anticipated surge in air travel demand.

Air India is extending a warm invitation to travellers through its ongoing Namaste World Sale. Running until February 5, 2024, the sale features enticing airfares, starting at Rs 1,799 for domestic one-way flights and Rs 3,899 for international one-way flights. The airline has waived the convenience fee for bookings made via its website and/or mobile app.

The Namaste World Sale not only provides affordable travel options but also showcases Air India's commitment to passenger-friendly initiatives. By waiving the convenience fee, the airline aims to make the booking process smoother and more cost-effective for its customers.
