Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran, in a recent address at the Postal Park in Bistupur, underscored the enduring legacy of the conglomerate's founder, Jamsetji Tata, reiterating the group's steadfast dedication to principles of integrity, innovation, and social responsibility.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion of Jamsetji Tata's 185th birth anniversary, Chandrasekaran highlighted the founder's visionary perspective, envisioning an industrial landscape driven by positive transformation. "We are proud to carry on our founder Jamsetji Tata's heritage of seeing industry as a force for good in the future" stated Chandrasekaran.

Chandrasekaran emphasised the group's commitment to its founding principles, stating, "On this occasion, we reaffirm our commitment to the principles of integrity, innovation, and social responsibility that have guided us since our inception." He further expressed the group's collaborative approach, emphasising continued engagement with the community to foster a brighter and more prosperous future for Jamshedpur and its residents.
The commemorative event was marked by the inauguration of an exhibition at the Steelennium Hall at the Jamshedpur Works of Tata Steel. The exhibition showcased various technology-led initiatives from different departments within Tata Steel, highlighting the company's relentless pursuit of innovation and advancement.
Founder's Day celebrations resonated across various units of the Tata Group, with numerous programmes organised to commemorate the occasion. These initiatives underscored the group's collective dedication to its founding values and its commitment to driving positive change in society.
In a significant gesture towards sustainability, Chandrasekaran flagged off a fleet of green-fuel-powered commercial vehicles manufactured by Tata Motors, specifically tailored for Tata Steel. The fleet comprised Prima tractors, tippers, and the Ultra EV bus, leveraging Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) and battery electric technologies.
The introduction of green-fuel-powered vehicles exemplifies Tata Motors' commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco-friendly transportation solutions. This initiative aligns with the Tata Group's broader sustainability objectives and its mission to minimise environmental impact across its operations.
